FLARE - boostring guitar pedal with an 18V booster

Flare is a dual pedal based on the Green Ringer with some tweaks an added MOSFET booster. Boost controls this clean boost activated by the left foot switch. Sparkle and Level are the functions of the Ringer, active only when the right footswitch is engaged. The pedal has low to very low noise floor.

THIS VERSION USES A CHARGE PUMP TO POWER THE BOOSTER WITH 18V FOR A MAXIMUM HEADROOM. THE BOOST IS VIRTUALLY DISTORTION-FREE UP TO ITS MAXIMUM SETTING.

Note: If you prefer using the booster with the ring setting at the same time, I recommend the original 9V version for better octave crunch.

This version accepts a 9V battery or a standard center negative 9V pedal power supply.

BOOST

Boost controls the one-knob MOSFET booster. In combination with the ringer, it will

SPARKLE

Sparkle provides a tone control that is especially useful when boost and ring are engaged at the same time. It helps to attenuate sharp highs for a more subtle effect. For a true Ringer operation, keep the know turn all the way up.

LEVEL

Level sets the overall volume of the Ringer only. Attenuation is useful, when boost and ring are engaged at the same time. For a true Ringer operation, keep the know turn all the way up.
